The Baumwollspinnerei, cotton mill, in Leipzig was once the largest of its kind in Central Europe. Since the 1990s, the site has been developing into Leipzig's most valuable culture and art center, with hundreds of artists' studios, a dozen galleries, workshops and theater playrooms.
